ONLINE COUNSELLING FOR M.Ed. PROGRAMME FOR SELF FINANCED M.Ed. COLLEGES UNDER WBUTTEPA FOR THE SESSION 2020-2022 WILL START FROM 3PM ON 30/01/2021

Online application for admission to the M.Ed. Programme for self finnanced colleges under The West Bengal University of Teachers' Training Education Planning and Administration are invited from the eligible candidates

Submission of application starts on and from 22th January, 2021.

The last date of submission of application is 28th January, 2021.


The detailed schedule of on-line admission process will be placed in the University website. There may be changes with short notifications. Therefore, all are requested to follow the website every day.

Eligibility Criteria :
Candidates seeking admission to the M.Ed. programme should have obtained at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade in the following programmes:

i) B.Ed.
ii) B.A. B. Ed., B. Sc. B. Ed.
iii) B. El. Ed.
iv) D. El. Ed. with an undergraduate degree (with 50% marks in each).

Admission will be done strictly on the basis of merit. Merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the Board/ Council/ University examinations passed by them.

Number of Seats
• Number of seats is 50.
• All the details in this regard will be notified in the website before the publication of first list for eligible candidates.
• Deputed teachers serving in substantive posts in Teachers’ Training Institutions will be given preference. These candidates will be selected on the basis of length of continuous teaching experience.
• 30% seats will be allotted for Language Group, 30% Science and Mathematics Group and 40% for Social Science Group.
• The ratio for Home University students and other University students shall be 80:20
• The ratio for fresh candidates and deputed teachers shall be 90:10.

Reservation and relaxation:
Reservation of seats for SC/ST/PWD (Minimum disability 40%) candidates will be as per Govt. rules. Relaxation of 5% marks will be admissible as per Govt. rules.
